Adolf Hitler was the most feared man in history for the fact that he was responsible for the death of over six million Jewish people in 1940s. The world knows much about Adolf Hitler but there are some facts that have been overlooked.
10. His favorite actor passed in 2011
Hitler’s favorite actor, Johannes Heesters aged 108 passed in 2011. Interestingly, Johannes who was a Dutch actor was put to severe scrutiny until 1960’s because he had performed for the Nazi regime.
9. Hitler was a vegetarian
A lesser known fact about Adolf Hitler was that the Nazi dictator was a vegetarian. He had kept food taters that did get to taste the choicest cuisines even at a time when the entire region was suffering from starvation.
8. Hitler had an army of dogs who communicated well
Though it is only a rumor but it is said that Hitler had an army of dogs who communicated well. He had trained his dogs in such a manner that these dogs communicated through tapping their paws, wagging the tails and barking.
Hitler shared a special bond with his dogs Blondi and Bella and killed Blondi before he shot himself.

Hitler mentioned in Mein Kamph that he got addicted to Wager after attending their opera at the age of 12. He also skipped school many times to attend the Opera.

Though Hitler has always been thought to be a strict dictator but it will amaze you to know that Hitler was a big fan of Disney shows. He would watch the shows for hours and feel and act like a child.
5. He was ordered to trim the mustache
Few only know that Hitler has taken part in World War-I also. He was ordered to scale down his moustache during the war so that his face could fit in the gas mask. Unfortunately, things did not work out well and he was temporarily blinded in 1918.

Hitler was a compulsive spender and though he pretended to be a common man’s friend, he was the opposite. He spent aggressively on champagne, clothes and cars even when the money could have been used for a better purpose.

Hitler had employed Heinrich Hoffman for taking his pictures while he practised speeches. He would then check for himself to see if he looked perfect in these pictures. Though he had ordered Hoffman to destroy all these pictures, the photographer was smart enough to save a few and publish these later.

A strict general, Hitler had great admiration for artists too. Albrect Durer, Johannes Vermeer and Lucas Cranach were some of the German artists that Hitler admired a lot.
